Fortunately, we had a few other aces up our sleeve …

Take me, for instance. Philip Scott, topikality’s co-founder. I could have relied solely on my Lance Armstrong like determination, but instead, I knuckled down, completed a Bachelor of Business, and went on to become a Product Manager at 3M, then co-founder and CEO of an Enterprise Software company, where we developed, marketed, installed and integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for over 150 financial institutions globally. My business partner, co-founder and Technical Director, Richard Heycock, has a similarly glamorous story to tell…. Honours degree in Electronic Systems & Control Engineering, 5 years of applied research for the British Government, then a decade or so in Document Imaging & Workflow, publishing, telco support systems and mining. Throw in the high-volume ad-serving company he worked for, and I suppose you could say he has my grudging respect.

Richard and I met in 2007. He threw the idea for topikality at me, and we decided to make it happen. We spent 2007 to 2009 developing, and, now, here we are!
